I’m a nature-loving, hands-on creative Canadian gal with a deep appreciation for thoughtful spaces, slow living, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life.
I come from a background in civil engineering and project management, a path that taught me how things are built and how ideas become reality. But for a long time, I felt out of place in the corporate world. I was constantly trying to fit into a version of success that didn’t feel like me. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to step away from a secure 9–5 and give myself the space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly brings me a sense of meaning and calm.
This blog was born from that space.
For a long time, I felt pressure to identify one passion — the thing I was meant to do. But that never quite fit either. It wasn’t until I learned about the concept of flow (the idea that passion is found in the moments when time disappears) that things finally clicked. I realized I don’t have one passion — I have many. And the ones that consistently pull me into that state of flow are hands-on projects, creating and improving spaces, and spending time immersed in nature.
Somewhere along the way, those worlds began to merge.
Nature is where I feel most grounded and at ease, and I believe our homes should offer that same feeling — spaces that feel calm, safe, and deeply personal. I’m drawn to earthy tones, natural materials, functional design, and interiors that quietly support the way we live. Whether I’m tackling a DIY home project, rethinking a room, or documenting time spent outdoors, everything I create is guided by the same intention: to design a life — and a home — that feels aligned, grounded, and lived in.
Here, you’ll find a mix of DIY home projects, thoughtful design ideas, lifestyle reflections, van trips, itineraries, and lessons learned along the way. This space is both a creative outlet and a place to share what I’m learning as I explore the intersection of home, nature, and intentional living — with the hope of growing further into the world of interior design.
None of this would have been possible without my incredibly kind and supportive husband, Mike. He’s given me the time, patience, and encouragement to heal, question everything, and step into the unknown — always reminding me that I don’t have to have it all figured out.
If you’re here because you’re craving a slower pace, more intention in your spaces, or the courage to follow a path that feels more you — I’m really glad you found your way here. I hope something you read sparks creativity, comfort, or the confidence to take your own leap, wherever that may lead.
